The first exit game on the water on Lake Maggiore: you solve puzzles aboard the STRIGA CONSTANZE while castle ruins, islands and hermitages drift past – guided by Beppe, the cheeky parrot of the pirate brothers Mazzarditi. At the end you open the treasure chest together.
In the early 15th century the brothers Mazzarditi ruled Lake Maggiore from their castles on the rocky islands off Cannero – until the Duke of Milan besieged and destroyed their fortress. Their treasure remained lost. Their Nordic helmsman Olaf marked the hiding places with runes. And these very runes now stand on the deck of the STRIGA CONSTANZE.
You stay comfortably seated the whole time: rune boards, logbooks, binoculars, signal flags, ropes and costumes come to you. Between stations the crew tells real stories about Santa Caterina del Sasso, the Borromean Islands and the pirate castles – and Beppe comments on everything over the speaker, cheeky but warm-hearted.
An experience for families, groups of friends and corporate teams – no prior knowledge, no skill, just brains and humour.

Five stations, one code, one treasure chest – and the most beautiful scenery of northern Italy as your playing field.
Nothing in the game requires standing. The crew brings every piece of material to your seat – safely even in a little swell.
The 600-year-old parrot guides you through the story via audio – with a separate version for children.
A game for the whole group: families, friends or corporate teams solve the puzzles together.
The game itself takes approx. 2 hours – embedded in a private tour (3, 4 or 7 hours). Not bookable separately as a 2-hour tour.
Laveno-Mombello, Brebbia, Feriolo, Cannero or Cannobio: each route with its own destinations and its own stories.
Four found runes make the code – and the treasure chest opens after 600 years.
Don't worry: we only reveal what awaits you here – not how to solve it.
Safety briefing, rune boards and logbooks on board – and Beppe's first cheeky-charming announcement as you cast off.
Olaf painted eight runes into the deck. One describes exactly what you're floating on right now. Find it.
Binoculars out: a question about the castle ruin, island or hermitage on the shore leads to the next rune – including a real piece of lake history.
The crew signals at the mast with coloured flags. Translate the colours – quickly, because some appear only once.
Costumes on, strike up a song, look innocent: the Duke's scout asks silly questions – and loses something in the process.
The last clue is hidden in the bowline, the king of sailors' knots. The rope reveals its secret only when everyone can tie it.
Four runes, four numbers, one combination lock. Drumroll, chest open, stamp in the logbook – you're part of the crew.
The same story, four versions – we tune it to your group before the trip.
Silly, colourful and without reading: all runes have picture symbols, parents receive a captain's card with tips. Treasure: chocolate coins and pirate stamps.
No scares, lots of joining in
Exciting and tricky: rhyme puzzles, fast flag signals and the real bowline. Treasure: chocolate coins and rune pendants.
The family classic
Demanding and divided: the clues are distributed among everyone – only together does the group reach the solution. No competition, but real teamwork.
Finale with toast & team round
Relaxed, sociable, humorous: no time pressure, bets with the skipper, prosecco and a toast at the finale.
For birthdays & stag dos
The game works from every harbour – the scenery and the stories differ.

Castelli di Cannero
Straight to the origin of the story: the ruins of the pirate castles of the Mazzarditi on two rocky islands off Cannero. The Swiss border lies only a few kilometres to the north.

Borromean Islands
Isola dei Pescatori, the inhabited fishing village, and Isola Bella – named after Isabella Borromeo. Plus Baveno with its pink granite.

Santa Caterina del Sasso
The hermitage in the rock face, founded in gratitude for surviving a storm – with views across the lake to Verbania and Isola Madre.

«A wonderful boat tour on a unique sailing boat on Lake Maggiore. We got to know the lake from completely different perspectives. It's also worth highlighting that the tour could be rescheduled at short notice due to a spell of bad weather, and we were ultimately able to enjoy the trip in the best weather. The crew was thoroughly likeable and made a great effort. We can only recommend the trip to everyone.»
